Preparation

Espresso Machine

Fill portafilter with Not Coffee Original (same amount as you would regular coffee). Don’t overfill as Not Coffee swells during brewing. Tap firmly and brew into your cup. For added strength press brew button again for a second round of extraction. 

Moka (Caffettiera) / Italian Stovetop Espresso Maker

Fill filter with Not Coffee Orginal, do not overfill or press. Add water to the bottom chamber and brew like regular coffee. Pour desired amount into cup, adjust strength based on personal taste.

French Press

Add 1-2 tbsp to 3-cup pots, 3-4 tbsp to 8-cup pot, 5-6 tbsp to 12-cup pot. Pour in boiling water. Let seep for 5 minutes before pressing the plunger down. Pour desired amount into cup, adjust strength to taste.

Incredibly surprised

I didn’t “need” to give up coffee for any reason, other than wanting to see how I functioned without it. I think I’m a lifetime convert! No more jitters or heart palpitations.
I have a tiny bit of stevia in mine so the difference in flavour between real coffee and not coffee is negligible. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the pods get stuck in my machine and don’t always work. Instant is going to be my go-to.

I recently weined myself of coffee and Not Coffee is the perfect substitute. It was so easy to move away from coffee with this alternative. I enjoyed it as a latte and didn't even miss my coffee. The pods are great for taking with me to use at work or when visiting friends.

A Wonderful Coffee Alternative For Coffee Lovers

This surprised me to be honest, I tried not to have high expectations because I know it's impossible to recreate the taste and feel of coffee exactly, but this did a much better job than I was expecting. I have to give up coffee and tea for health reasons but I LOVE my morning coffee, it's such a comfort thing for me. I tried this using a coffee machine with diary milk, and I have to say apart from being slightly bitter, I almost forgot I wasn't drinking coffee. The taste had a 'coffee' feel about it, and with frothed milk it looked exactly like coffee. I actually think it's a really wonderful option for coffee-lovers who can't drink coffee. I also popped through a few different coffee alternatives to a naturopath and this was the one she recommended out of the bunch ingredients wise!

I was hesitant to switch out my regular black coffee for Not Coffee but knew it had to be done.
